It didn't go well...

Prompt: "Mix together a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 with a 2023 Mustang Mach E to create something new, please."

Output: "The image features a unique blend of a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 with a 2023 Mustang Mach E, creating an innovative design that merges classic muscle car aesthetics with modern, sleek elements."

I think they went too far with the hybrid concept.

The driver was replaced by an electric motor. ?

I wonder if it starts with a Mach E, then adds some design from the 69. Keep it a fully electric SUV. Does it take notes like the Chat feature and make slight adjustments?

There's nothing to debate. Turn off the DALL-E plugin and see how many pictures you get. None. The average person can't ask ChatGPT to generate an image for them, only Enterprise customers can. So it isn't the same for everyone, which is confusing.

Using your example, if my dealership doesn't have access to the same "specialist" your dealership has I don't get the same result as you. Which is confusing, because you said your dealership was able to fix it, but mine was not. That little detail about access to a specialist is important.

If "no specialist = no fix", that's the same as "no plugin = no pictures".

I'm not trying to be "right" here, I'm trying to get people to understand the nuance of how it works. I'm saying the nuance matters, you are saying it doesn't.

Now let's get back to seeing some cool AI-generated Mach-E images :)
Okay, I will bite.

In your example, "your Dealership" can't fix it because it doesn't have access to a Specialist nearby.

If I or you purchase ChatGPT, doesn't both mine and your subscription have access to DALL E? So in your example, your Dealership CAN fix it through said Specialist if we are comparing it to ChatGPT. In fact, every Dealership CAN fix it using a Specialist i.e. Plugin.

So in short, saying ChatGPT assisted in said image is technically correct. They are simply using an outside source to achieve said product just like mine and your Dealership.

Netflix makes some of its own Movie while at other times, it uses other production companies to show Movies and TV series.

Let me ask, when you watch a show on Netflix (lets say Seinfeld), do you say Netflix was not used to watch said show but rather Columbia Pictures and you shouldn't say you watched it via Netflix?

Riddle me that. ?

Sure, no argument.

You can also say you use your right foot to make the car go. 100% accurate. But if you want to know "how" you made it go, there's more to it than that.

Up to you how interested you are in understanding how things work. I'm just trying to explain to others on the forum who do care, how it *actually* works, 'cause, you know, some people care.

You don't think it's important to make the distinction, and I do. Difference of opinion.

@FadeOutLines if you want to make fun of a software engineer, who works with Data Scientists to build AI solutions for our customers, because I want to explain how you used ChatGPT to create images (which natively IT CAN'T DO), have at 'er....

This isn't ChatGPT, it's a completely different model called DALL-E (as someone mentioned earlier) - it's not a ChatGPT "option", it's a completely different animal.

ChatGPT is OpenAI's Large Language Model, trained on the information it can find on the internet. OpenAI's model is called GPT-3 (and 3.5 and now 4) - this is where the "GPT" comes from - you "chat" with the "GPT" language model. Only text. No images.

DALL·E (and DALL-E 2 and 3) on the other hand are OpenAI's image models, trained on images scoured from the internet. You also "ask" it to create something for you, but it's not ChatGPT, even though it's based on the GPT-3 architecture.

And "men" didn't train the AI, it trains itself. So the mildly sexist imagery it created when someone asked for "moms" it made up on its own, based on what it's found on the internet. No human "told" it to do that. Fun and scary all at once.

So just like your Mach-E is not an "e-car", this is not ChatGPT, it's OpenAI's DALL-E model.

So?

I have painfully tried to explain to you that you are NOT WRONG. I have used multiple examples to show that technically FaidOutLines was NOT WRONG.

In your example of your right foot making your car go, it actually will not move until something pushes onto the go pedal. Your foot was the conduit to make the car go just like ChatGPT was the pedal motion if you will and triggered DALL E to make the magic happen.

No one is suggesting that ChatGPT creates the images but rather is the conduit to make it happen.

If FaidOutLines wanted to create more images but cancelled his subscription to ChatGPT, it would be like staring at the go pedal wondering why the car isn't moving even though the go pedal isn't technically making the mechanics go into motion.

Now let us get back to our originally scheduled program via ChatGPT.

If we're switching to "human" talent, top this poem!

She sits charged and ready, a gleaming sight in the night.
Ford calls it Star White.

At full acceleration, she's a hellion.
Ready to engage in all-out rebellion.

By day, she's a lady in the city streets.
At night, she runs wild in the foothill's sheets.

As we ascend from the desert floor,
Only the wind is the roar.

Ancient paths carved by the steed,
Are now paved for this new electric breed.

Mustang Mach E, in Star White.
Ready to indulge your every delight.
There once was a man from Nantucket
Whose d.. uh, never mind.

The vapor blue experiment. Prompt: "A souped up 2023 Mustang Mach E with a base color of Vapor blue. You decide the color of the stripe to match. The car is in a Ford showroom on a pedestal."

Thanks for this image, Elisa. Food for thought.

Is that all you got?

She arrived in Vapor Blue,
Built with precision just for you.

As you approached, the electric pony beckoned,
An electric force, to be reckoned.

The first time you pressed that start button,
The acceleration turned you into a glutton.

At first, your wife said no.
But she's warmed to its electric glow.

With Blue Cruise, you can safely steal a kiss,
While the Teslas await their fix.

The neighbors all asked, what is that?
You just smiled and tipped your hat.
Electric power
Mustang Mach-E's graceful roar
Innovation soars.

(Me shakes head)

She arrived in Carbonized Gray,
Delivered to you on this day.

It's not so green, they all said,
But you left their faces red.

As the price of fuel climbed,
You didn't spend nary a dime.

Show us what you got, they all said,
In your dust, they're ICE vehicles bled.

They hated to admit it, but you were right,
Ordering theirs this very night.
