Ford Mustang Mach-E Designed a wireless charger that actuality works 1000092330

Hey everyone! I'm new here and wanted to share a 3D-printed MagSafe wireless charger I designed for my Mach-E.

It tilts the phone toward the driver so it's easier to glance at, frees up a bunch of storage underneath, and even has a little pony embossed into the tray. I designed it around the Amazon Basics MagSafe charger since it's affordable and easy to get.

One of the biggest reasons I made it was because I got tired of the factory charger being so hit or miss. With the magnetic alignment, my phone stays in the right spot, charges consistently, and doesn't get nearly as hot as it did on the stock charger. It also has hidden wire management underneath, and I made both single and dual charger versions.

Would love to hear what you think! If you have ideas for other Mach-E accessories you'd like to see, let me know. I'm always looking for new things to design.

Looks good. How do you support both chargers simultaneously? Do you use a USB-C to USB-A adapter for the second charger? (Or do later model year MMEs come with two USB-C ports?)

Your post reminded me that I never shared my design for a Kleenex box holder to replace the tray. I'll do that now.

I’ve used the TWRAPS dual MagSafe adapter for the Mach E for a couple years. The factory wireless QI charger is hot garbage (literally).

Agreed, I thought about buying that one but I wanted a charger that gets my phone tilted up.

How well does your design hold the phone(s) on rough roads or during hard braking?

I've been using it for a good 3-4 months, no issues at all even on the roughest roads, the magnets hold well to your IPhone, or in my case to my magnetic phone case.

I don't know if there's room, but the upgrade I'd ask for is to rotate each phone to face the seat a little bit. Instead of facing back. Doesn't need to be the full 45 degrees. So, the driver's phone rotated clockwise and the passenger's phone rotated counterclockwise.

Just an idea. This almost makes me want to go out and buy a 3D printer to start fiddling around with stuff like this.

This is actually one of the things that I'm experimenting with, it still needs a lot of work to get the rotation to work without interfering with the car trim. here are some pictures of the prototype.

Wow, I've been looking at this for a while (before this thread started) I haven't jumped on it yet because my Pixel 7 Pro doesn't have the magnets. I've been trying to hold out for the 11, but may also get a stick on magnet ring in the meantime.

Anyway, I was curious how well this works for larger phones/cases with the lip at the bottom? Does it potentially push the phone too high for the magnets/charger to reach?
Or do you generally see the phone held well above the bottom lip?

I am curious about the angled one, but maybe one one with a single, set angle would be easier than adjustable angle? plus moving parts are more prone to break :D

I removed the lip on the latest design as they were unnecessary. I've tried it with multiple phones and no issue with the hold. You can also use a case with the magsafe ring, this is what I use and works perfectly 👌
