Does Watching YouTube affect my iPhone Data?

My Spectrum data use has doubled in the past two months on my iPhone. I can think of no reason for this, other than the fact that this coincides with my beginning to watch YouTube in my MME. Does my MME use my iPhone data plan to stream YouTube?

If you are indeed using Ford's data plan, and for sure your phone wifi hot spot is off, then no it would have no way to use your phone's data.

easy way to find out is if the WiFi symbol shows as connected on your car, or just check wifi settings, if its not connected to anything and you can still stream YouTube, it's using Ford Data Plan
