The only thing I hate more than a greengrocer's apostrophe is an improper quote. If you wouldn't say it with air quotes, for crap's sake don't use real quotes.

I read your post as a fun joke... that said, I guarantee that if the quotes weren't there, there would be a post on here complaining "my car isn't new, all it did was get an OTA, I've had the car for 6 months... why is Ford saying it's new? stupid Ford!" (Yes, this leaves out the option of not saying new at all, but the whole line is clearly intended to be a little bit of fun.)

I read this notice when I got mine as having air quotes, so I guess this is correct and follows your rule.
