Are you folks anybody have any helpful suggestions regarding fast charging my experience so far is been very hit and miss.
Initially I was able to charge on all fast chargers in my area. And then about two months into the car ownership they had to replace the charge ring on the vehicle. After that my DC fast charging has been hit and miss at best. I Home charge generally on the 240 50 amp circuit with the standard for a charger and it works great. It errors maybe once a month.
But it seems that there are a lot of chargers out there that don't necessarily support the car well and here's where I run into some weird behavior.
Electrify America chargers in general have worked I've only encountered one that continues not to support the car and I'm going to point out that it has the white plastic connector that works with a vehicle similar to what Ford offers I don't wanna get too technical as far as versions of this connector but there may be more than one I'm not sure.
Charging at ChargePoint I noticed that I can't charge on their DC fast chargers but the performance seems to be poor and doesn't seem to charge very fast where is electrify America Chargers similar DC fast chargers charge twice as fast I don't know if it's just the car or me maybe both anybody have any ideas here.
The third charger that I've tried to charge it is the EV go and I haven't had much luck with them I tried six different charging stations in three different locations and found one by my house that has the white connector most of them have big black all plastic connector which only errors out every Tryme I try to use it the funny thing is is the black connector that goes into the car is the same shape and fits the same as the white connector and says it's the same connector you can use on the MME .
For some reason with this particular brand of charging stations I get continued errors resetting constantly and it won't charge past 80% where the electrify America will charge past 80% and will slow down.
This does show up as errors on the app Ford Pass and states that there's something wrong with these chargers although I find it weird that so many chargers don't work as intended. Now it seems that the only good chargers I can use or electrify America and they seem to work 80% of the time or the other ones are either super slow or they have a lot of machines that won't support the Mustang. Keep in mind all of these were related to paying for them by credit card.
Any ideas or thoughts would be great because my wife is trying to expand her ability for her to drive the car more than just to and from work what she puts about 80 miles a day on it and it gives her two trips back and forth to her office and I'm trying to figure out a way to get her to be able to fast charging other locations it's been so hit and miss I am at a loss any help would be appreciated.
