Good day,

Ive had my Mach E for about two weeks now. Finally got my FCCS installed this morning.

After being on the phone with support, and my own trouble shooting, I cannot seem to the unit to actually charge.

It currently shows the "rebooting/updating" LED sequence. The app says ready to charge, or plugged in. The car says its paused at the charger, and the app reads charging paused.

I have power cycled it many times and support says that they can see the firmware and sofware is both current.

I am unable to set charge times in car or the app as i have never charged at my house yet.

What is the next step?

Edit: I attempted to derate the amperage as I noticed that may have fixed it for others, I can now only set to a max of 20a.

Support should either get it working or send a replacement. It shouldn’t be in updating / rebooting mode for more than 30 minutes. If you’ve rebooted and it’s still stuck in that state (white LED going left to right) then support is your only option. Not much else can be done.

UPDATE!!!

Turns out the electrician was at fault.

My unit is the 6 dip switch one. D1 was on, d2 thru 6 was off.

Meaning it was set to 20amp, on 208volt 2 phase industrial power instead of 40 or 48 am 240 volt three phase.

Further, the installer "normally installs only 50 amp breakers and wiring as this ford 48 amp charger is abnormal".

Otherwise it took seconds to boot and is functioning as intended, although at reduced capacity.

Needless to say, I'm now pissed right off.

The installer needs to learn to read.
