Ford+Alexa- the app. Oh ya, this does not work

Ok, so my Android phone has never been able to PaaK setup and I can not get this app to work.

Anyone have any tricks. My phone links and works as a phone just fine but I get this screen and that's it.

Do I need to have a data plan for for the car for this to work?

the app you're showing is not related to PaaK or anything like that.

it's an AppLink app, so you have to go through the AppLink settings on Sync to turn that on and do the traditional Bluetooth pairing.

I'm going to politely suggest though you just uninstall the app and forget about it, because I've tried it several times and it's not worth the hoops to go through it. You don't need it for any of the normal Sync stuff, and you don't need it for Alexa's skill to work (e.g. to be able to tell Alexa to start your car). It's for talking to Alexa from within the car.

If you're heavily in the Amazon ecosystem and really want Alexa, this is a way to do it, including being able to use the voice button on the wheel to talk to her.
