Hmmm... it would be really stupid of us to design a car like that. FWIW, I did spend five years in China working for Ford. Vehicle complexity is the actual trade jargon for what you're considering, and it's something that we deal with routinely. There's nary a product in the world that we can't homologate somewhere else. That's not to say that it's free, and that's not to say that there aren't regional differences. For example, an Ecosport we build in India will have a lot of galvanized parts for Europe and the USA, but not for India. Doors will have different internal structures depending on market. And they all run down the same line.Safety and emissions.
All the software would have to be tossed out and rewritten from scratch. It’s also likely that the processors and supporting systems would have to go as well.
Quite routine, honestly.
