Ford website error?

Just checked on the drying paint, and according to Ford, my MME4 order status has transitioned to "In production/in progress..." with "scheduled for production the week of 1/5/2021."

Although I want to get a bit excited here, this clearly erroneous information has all the earmarks of a big letdown coming, something along the lines of, "sorry Mr. Grim, we meant 1/5/2022!" Ugh.

Called the dealership for clarification, but wasn't too encouraged by the rep. wanting to know if my website "order number" was an actual "order number," or a "reservation number," which I hadn't heard of before.

Anyone else seen these erroneous date issues in their orders? Is that a real thing, reservation number, and how do you tell, and what does that really mean?

This is definitely an error, but not what you wrote. I got my build week update today. The e-mail said the week of July 12, 2021. The website says the week of 1/12/2021. I think someone hit a 1 instead of a 7 in the website code.

I too was hoping for just that explanation, keeping my fingers crossed for now. Thanks for the quick reply.

Just got the update from the dealer, you were correct, production begins 7/5/2021..., my own personal petrol independence day I suppose.

I seem to be in the same weird boat. I have yet to get a confirmation email about a date but I happened to log in this morning and it shows a build week of 1/19/2021. I didn't order until 2/27/2021. Having a 7/19 build week would be cool though.

Edit: Just got confirmation from the dealership that build week is 7/19!!! ?

My Car's B-day week appears to be next week. The order date is 12/18/20; so the Feb. 2021 order date and July Build week seems to make sense. In addition to celebrating Memorial Day on Monday (and thank you to all that have served and risked or paid the ultimate sacrifice) I will also throw one back for (Still looking for a name for my Rapid Red X4).

Found this in a separate thread on basically the same topic. It's a VIN/ORDER # lookup and tracker app, and will show your window sticker when available. MACH-E VIN Tracker Website.

I have my build 05/31/2021.

Mine says similar, though the build date isn't for a month.

I've seen conflicting comments in other threads varying from the end of production, to it won't be available from Ford, but rather the dealer, upon delivery. Not sure what the story is here.

I got my build week for July 12 this morning as well. Same issue with a 1/12/21 production. Must be a typo. If I have my four digit order number will there already be a vin number assigned?

The VIN should be available through your Ford account as the production start draws closer. My production start week is 7/5/2021, but no VIN showing at the moment. When I called the dealer, after some checking, they were able to supply it along with the 4 digit order number.
