I don’t charge very often at public charging stations however I have noticed that when I do they generally don’t appear in my charging locations in the app meaning I can’t set a charge limit. A bit frustrating at an IONITY super fast charger as I want to cap at certain levels as they aren’t exactly cheap. For example if I need 45% to get home with 20% I don’t want it to keep charging to 100% whilst I grab some food, coffee etc.

it has saved locations in the past. My home and a couple of AC chargers, one a pod point and one a BP one. But at IONITY multiple locations and a BP DC charger at Gatwick it never does.

can you set a limit in the car when charging?

any ideas?

I had recently chased a FordPass bug by deleting and reinstalling the app. As a result, I lost my record of saved L2 charging locations. And thus couldn't set a charge target below 100%.

It was strange considering I still had a log (history) of every previous L2 charge event.

Finally, today in fact, I discovered that Sync4 itself DID allow me to configure a historical charge event as a saved location, and thus set a charge target.

Sure enough, within a few minutes FordPass reflected what Sync allowed me to configure.

I realize Ford is currently in the middle of the developing FordPass V5 and I believe they are changing the database architecture as well. So perhaps I just ran into a snag that triggered?

All is well now.
And I do see progress in V5 as I jump back and forth continuously.
