Front Radar replacement cost

I hit debris while driving on the highway(too late before I could serve to avoid it) with my 2021 MachE premium. There wasn't much damage to the front bumper and everything seemed fine while driving. The next time I turned on the car it gave an error saying “pre-collision assist not availabe, adaptive cruise not available”. Took it to the dealer to have a look at and the replacement cost for the radar is 2500$!!! I can’t beleive it can be this expensive to replace a radar and the cruise control module.
Does this seem too high?

Itis crazy how expensive some of the parts are these days in modern cars. It's a good thing it didn't break a headlight. One headlight replacement comes close to the cost you just mentioned for the radar.

Your comprehensive insurance coverage will cover it, less the deductible.

Your insurance company will ensure that the car is fixed properly, at the proper cost.

Yes. It is high. I just had mine replaced and it was covered under the 100,000 mile warranty. I only pay for the deductible.
