Has anyone done Xpel PPF yourself DIY?

Thinking about covering the grill only with Xpel when the fresh factory paint hardened later on. The grill is most vulnerable to rock and dead bugs. It’s the face of car, anything on it shows.

Is DIY doable? I know I need to remove the pony emblem first and I can do it. Appreciate any experience on applying it on.
