Incidentally my reason for leasing is because I have lost almost 50% in value on the car in Florida and it doesn't have 4000k miles on it.

The dealership lists the Mach-E that I am interested in with a "final price" on their website after dealer discount and retail bonus cash of just under $50,000. I am waiting for final lease details next week pending evaluation of my trade in.

Leasing gets you the $7500 tax credit up front IF the dealer wants to pass it on to you ...which most do . You do not get the credit anymore with a "buy"
Check around though because many dealers still think its 2022 and are still trying to up charge the cars .
I just traded in my 21 Select for a 23 GT and ended up paying less than I did 3 years ago for a car 2 models up from my original.

I can't answer on the leasing part, but I would like to share my experience with the mach e gt that I purchased the end of 4/2023. I recently have become a little disappointed in the rebate issue, loss of battery life in colder weather and questionable battery life period, no spare tire, and continued lack of available charging stations when leaving the Phoenix metro area, but I still love the car. I have a long list of positive items, so I am opting to deal with the negatives. I personally have had no issues with my car. I love how it drives and I never need to care about gas prices. I find It comfortable and spacious. I am sure I could find a lot of these positives with any EV. So if I were to do it over again, I would definitely be more aware of the rebate availability and why, comparable EV resale values, dealership response to issues and charging infrastructure in my state. Overall I wouldn't go back to an ICE, but you do need to be prepared for the challenges. This forum definitely has helped me.

It has a propulsion sound switch! Just in case you miss the annoying drone of an ice engine.

Here are my two cents. I have owned a Mach-e GT for the past two years. This chariot has been as close to a super car performance without spending supercar $$ as I’ll ever get. Haven’t spent not a dime on maintenance (although at 20K I replaced the cabin filter myself), nor on oil changes, tune-ups, etc.
I bought the car as I planned to have the vehicle until forever + 1 day.
In the end it’s a personal decision. The car has been lots of fun to drive. I’m old enough to know that life isn’t made of money but of time. Quality time is where it is at. Enjoy the ride!!
