HELP!!! My 2021 Mach E, Premium, EX, has been in for service since 26 June, and a repair completion date is not in sight. I hope someone may have experienced my problem and found a solution that I might apply. Here's my issue.
The vehicle's A/C is extremely loud and doesn't cool properly. It will only cool at hwy speeds; I have to open windows while driving around town for comfort. If I set a departure time and select “cool”; the car will be hot inside at departure. The Dealer has determined the Shutters aren't working (that's at least part of the problem). The Shutter assy was replaced but the Shutters still didn't open. Ford recommended replacing a module associated with opening Shutters; no effect, Shutters still didn't open. Ford thought Shutter Actuator was not getting a required signal; signal was fed to it via jumper wire. No effect, Shutters didn't open. As I stated previously Ford and the Dealer has been working on this problem for quite a while with no solution in sight. If anyone has had a non-functional Shutter and non-working A/C, please let me know how it was resolved.
Finally, I live in Texas and the temp has consistently been between 100-107 degrees. I'm concerned the lack of cooling could have a detrimental effect on the battery. Should that be looked into? Thoughts Please.
