Ford Mustang Mach-E Holy smokes, this is getting insane, IMG_5520
That ridiculous regardless, but is that the prevailing price in the area? I only ask because there's a Chevron around the corner from my neighborhood that is always crazy high compared to other stations in the area. Today it's $5.30/gallon for regular. There's a QT one mile up the road that is $4.74/gallon. ??
Yes it is prevalent price in So Cal. This is yesterday in Oxnard CA.

Hopefully people who live there enjoy living there.

But simple question for someone who is happy with the state-

Do you think things are getting better or worse there, and why?
Since the pandemic things have gotten worse with housing which I am feeling the direct results of. I am currently in the middle of construction of an ADU that I am attaching to my parents home. My boyfriend and I just feel that this investment makes sense for us and we will be waiting at least 5 to 10 years to see how housing develops. And then after that family will use it or we will be using it bring in extra income. I realize that this is not an option for most. I am very thankful to my family for this opportunity.

I think as far as what I think about things getting better or worse, it’s hard to say. I think at this moment things seem to be worse but we are also at a crucial moment of change. People in the country know that things have to change with wages. We just can’t agree which way is the right way to move society forward. Regardless I think we all know we aren’t paid enough. companies and politicians keep saying we’re entitled, yet CEO salaries continue to rise.

Sadly outside of the state I’ve experienced more homophobic and racist experiences than in the past. This also doesn’t make me want to leave California. This is home and for the queer community it’s where a lot of us have support and love.

When it comes to car culture and EVs things have definitely drastically changed. The conversation around EVs has definitely been happening more often. I will say people talk to me a lot about EVs because the driveway is filled with a lot of plug in cars (Rivian R1t, Mach E, Ioniq5, fiat 500 e and a fusion phev). And more and more people have said their next car must be EV or a phev at least. This is because of conversations and them seeing the benefits that I’ve experienced with the hybrids that we all drove over the years. Anyway I understand my car experience is unique but I see how people are starting to see gasoline as dirty and a waste. Even my petrol head friend convinced his girlfriend to get an ioniq 5 recently and boasts about it all the time.

overall I am proud of the way California is leading the green energy transition and am proud with how we pride ourselves on diversity and inclusion. Next we need to figure out how to house us all. There’s a reason people love this place.

That's pretty close to what I'm seeing here in southern Ontario:
CAD $1.71 a litre, four litres to a gallon = CAD $6.84 ~USD $5.10

$5.98 is insane.

That and the elimination of lead fuel helped a ton. Acid rain was a big deal in the 80's.
Don’t believe it. It’s all for show - just shipping the acid rain somewhere else. Why should anyone even bother. (Totally TIC).
