I have had an issue lately where I have a hard time getting the liftgate to close, specifically when I am in my parking spot at work. The liftgate will go about a quarter or a third of the way down, and then stop and the car honks the horn twice.
I looked in the manual and there were warnings about making sure the area is free of obstructions (like garage doors etc). It did not seem like the manual was saying the car was scanning the area of obstructions. It almost seemed like it would stop if it felt like the liftgate was too heavy though. I forget the exact wording. I have not adjusted anything on my hatch, so that should be normal weight and normal equipment.
Is there an FDRS update that might cover something in here? I will admit it is kinda embarrassing to be standing next to my fancy new car and I cannot get the tailgate to close with the horn honking.
