I have a 2021 Mach e. It's awesome, but I had a lot of trouble with the Paak feature working with my droid, it would drop my calls everytime multiple times, until I turned it off the Paak - but that also ended my password emergency start. So I used my keys. I have lost them! My car is stuck my garage, parked forward. I can unlock the car with the door pad and get in, but that's it

I ordered new keys and called the only locksmith in my area within a 3 hour drive. They came out to try to program the car, but it didn't work, they finally determined that the Mach e wasn't supported on thier ODB programmer and told me that I needed to have it towed to the dealer for programming.

The wheels are locked in park mode, and I cannot put it into tow mode without a key! Also, the tow holes are in the front of the car and there is no way to access it from the front or side in my garage I might need wheel dollies to move it, ugh!

The other option is I am happy to buy an ODB2 reader and program the keys myself, however, I am not sure which versions and models of ODB readers my work on the mach E so I can reprogram keys without having a key?

Any thoughts, suggestions?

PS . don't loose your keys!

When you replace them be sure to get a Tile for them so you can find them Again. Unfortunately this may be expensive, another Option If you are thinking about a Ford Premium Care Warranty, you may want to buy it now from Flood Ford .com because it covers a lost fob if you choose. I am afraid this cost will be a very good down payment on the warranty. An 8 year 100k zero deductible is $1700 I think. You may not need that much….coverage and can get a plan for around $1k. The lost Key costs from the dealer could be $300-500.

An OBD 2 will not program keys. I have a $1k Key programmer and it would not do the Mach E either.

lastly if you still have your FP rewards points, use those against this purchase…..
