I visited my Local Main Dealership today I live 30 miles from the branch, I called to query when I can expect the Mustang Keys. The car was booked in for them several months ago but two days before it was due to go in for them I was told they had no keys. They cancelled the service booking and advised me they would contact me when they have some.
I also queried the entrapment software upgrade and reversing camera upgrade. To my astonishment they denied all knowledge of either!!
I have a 74 plate Ex4x4 Mach e I was told today that Ford would send me a letter if and when they intended to carry out any recalls.
The young lady pulled up my car details and saw on the screen a yellow highlighted area of all the necessary recalls I described.

Feel like most people would have no clue what your talking about if your calling the recall that.
I honestly had no idea what on earth he was talking about. Your comment for some reason triggered in my mind and now I understand what he is saying. I would imagine his dealer was equally baffled.

While I knew what he meant, I would think/hope that the word "recall" would get the dealership to look at the records to see what recalls are outstanding for the VIN, regardless of what other words were used. That said, I'm confused by the rest of the post. I note that the OP is (presumably) in the UK since his location is "Cornwall", but "when I can expect the Mustang Keys" sounds weird to me. I know very early on 2021's came with only one key, but....? Also not sure what the reversing camera upgrade might be. I'm also not sure if he's looking for help or just venting... 🤷🏼‍♂️

Wasn’t there a continuing issue where non-NA market Mustang Mach-Es were provided with generic Ford branded keys (no pony) because they use a different frequency/protocol)?

Ah, that vaguely rings a bell.

By 'key', I assume you are talking about the fob... correct?

A key allows one to operate something through a security schema such as a lock. A fob is something that is attached to a key to prevent it from poking you in the leg. 😁🐩

This is in the UK where vehicle sales have been stopped due to 12v battery failure which could cause a lock out ( entrapment for a young child unable to mechanically release the door if locked inside) also UK cars were only supplied with basic Ford keys which do not open Frunk and no Mustang logo. There is a CSP on the Ford app to replace them, and keys have been arriving to replace at intervals to replace original basic keys. Then it’s who the dealership decide to replace until exhausted the limited supply.

💯.

It’s not the customer’s job to speak the language of the company. It’s the company’s job to pull up the VIN, look for the recalls and say, “how can I help?” Then explain (maybe) how the UK fix is behind the US fix (or whatever).

Unfortunately, the recall may be listed under a different CSP number. Some recalls or CSP's only relate to the U.S. and not overseas. It doesn't help when the dealers call a CSP a recall.

Confusion reigns...
