Hi Everyone,
I own a Chevy Volt and a 22 MME SR and they charge at different currents on the same L2 ChargePoint charger at work.
The Volt gets about 6kW at work and at home while the MME gets about 6.5kW at home and only 3kW at work. Any clues why it is much lower at work?
Thanks,
Adil

The ChargePoint at work was sharing power with another car when you observed the 3kW rate.

Didn't know that. Thanks for the replies. I guess I should charge next to a volt next time, those fill up fast.

Yeah, if you have to share a dual plug unit then sharing with a PHEV is a nice choice. Even 3kW should be plenty though....

Is the ChargePoint unit at work a dual head unit with a display screen? If so, they usually tell you if they are power sharing or not. You should also get a message on your phone that tells you the charging speed. If you are the 2nd car to arrive then you just get the "charging at 3kW" but the driver of the car that was already charging gets another text message saying their charging speed was just reduced (because another car plugged in too).
