Hello all. Wanted to see if anyone else had any issue like I"m currently having. I purchased a GT on 2/29 and two days later it wouldn't charge. First night it charged fine then the second night I received a message saying "charging paused. Resume at charging station.". I attempted to charge at a level ONE and level TWO charge station along with a Ford dealership and received errors. When I plugged in at the dealership the lighted buttons would all light up red and flash. Three days after buying I took it to a local dealership (not where I bought it as that's 90 minutes away) and they now have it for two weeks. First they made a software update and that didn't work. Next; they changed the charging port and that didn't work. Now they have gotten the field service engineer involved and they have seen "corrosion" somewhere that is requiring replacement of all wire harnesses associated with said corrosion. Those wire harnesses are on backorder wtih no clearly defined date as to when they will be in. I'm beyond frustrated as I have NO CAR to show for what I bought. I had it for TWO days! Anybody else have these issues? I was really excited to be driving this car but now I'm having second thoughts as a new car sound NOT have corrosion!

Hi Chris! I can look into your Mach-E's charging concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Mach-E's VIN?

I had a charge paused on my FordPass app. I left it plugged in and hit the forums to see what I could find out. I had recently received the 6.14 update, so I was going to check the settings in the car to see if anything had changed to effect the charge times. When I went back to my L2, it’s was charging. Go figure.

To answer your question, while I've heard of various issues with charging, sometimes including the charge port needing to be replaced, this is the first time I've heard of this specific problem. (My Mach E GT went crazy after two and a half days of ownership, but luckily it was resolved quickly via software.)

Is Ford providing you with a loaner? If they aren't they should be. You can also likely get them to make your car payment(s) while the car is down, and get them to pay for gas if your loaner (if/when you get one) is an ICE vehicle.

If you've not already followed up with @Ford Motor Company's offer to help, I suggest you do so. And if you've not worked with the Ford BEV team (accessible by calling the Ford customer service line and asking to speak with the BEV team), then you should do that too. They appear to be the ones with the authority to do the kinds of things I mention above.

Appreciate the response. Here we are five days shy of a month after getting the car and it's still not drivable. They were supposed to replace a wire harness since there was corrosion seen but since that is on backorder they opted to replace "pins" inside the harness. When I spoke to the field service engineer, he said he felt very confident that doing this would solve the problem. Well; it did not and the car still errors out when placed on any charger. The field service engineer is due to personally see the vehicle this Tuesday after only giving remote instructions to the tech at the dealer. I'm have been extremely frustrated wtih this. Ford is due to call me Tuesday regarding a possible buyback. I don't think I even want this car anymore if "corrosion" has happend. As of April 4th they will have had the car 30 days (with me only having it for TWO since buying it). Once that date arrives I will officially file a lemon law case and move on.

The dealer has provided me with a loaner and I'm saving fuel receipts as I fully expect Ford to reimburse me for that.

Glad to hear it. Be sure to also pursue Ford making your payment(s) while you wait for your car to be repaired.

I have a 2023 GTPE and it’s been in the shop now 50 days . Won’t take charge at level 1 , 2 or 3 . They replaced modules and still no charge . I have had it 8 months. It even blew my fuse panel at the house .
