Hello,

I own a Mach-e model 2023. I have recently upgraded my home installation and installed a smart charger. The charger is of type Alphen Eve pro single.
I also have an EMS (energy management system) that instructs my charger when to deliver power and when not. For example to only use excess solar power or to take advantage of low energy prices.

My setup works like charm for one our EV's (BMW i4), but not for the Mach-e.

For some reason the Mach-e is having difficulty to resume a charge that was interrupted for some reason (low solar excess or high energy prices). When the charge point is ready to deliver power again I get a charge error from the car, and it won't continue to charge.
Only when I briefly unplug the car and immetiatly plug it back in (car side), it'll resume the charge. This is not how I expect this to work, on the contrary... it completely makes smart charging impossible.

As another example I recently encountered, but very similar to what happens at my home situation: I visited and ammusement park, plugged the car in next to hundreds of other EV's. The energy manager of the ammusement park works with load balancing, so sometimes it gives nothing for a short while, and then it continues the charge. But the Mach-e doesn't take the charge anymore. Hence I end up with a potential empty battery when I want do depart in the evening. No fun there... :(

I would expect the EV to always take the power whenever it is delivered to it's charge port...

Has anyone experienced this kind of behaviour? The car has been in the shop already and they're stating it's a general Ford (mach-e) issue. Maybe so, but to me this is just not what we should expect/accept?
