So my wife decided she didn't like the E and wants to keep her Escape. This is a Rapid Red Premium that was ordered by myself for "D" plan delivery. This is a Premium AWD, extended (88 KWH) battery range, Rapid Red, with the interior protection package. 110 miles on it ( I took it home to show. MSRP and invoice is $56,440.00 and it is available for that price, no ADM. Sorry, no "X plan" available. I was impressed with the car but if mama isn't happy, well no one will be. Located in Niagara Falls, NY we will pay for one night at a local hotel so you can make a event out of collecting the Mach. Full disclosure: I work for the dealer. The dealership does not want to lose the margin, X plan does pay the dealer but not to the level of MSRP

Ford pays a commission but it does not equal MSRP. This car Mach E will go on the dealer website on Tuesday and I would expect it to be gone quickly.

If dealers make less money on X-Plan sales, what incentive do they have to accept X-Plan?

Volume. The more dealers in the area the more likely they are to accept it. Better to sell 10 cars with X plan than 3 without. (no idea where the break even point is, ratio is probably less)
