The feature does work. He wants it to work in a different manner. It’s this simple: he wants to have predictive speed left on, but not have the car change speed when the speed limit increases. He’s angry that it doesn’t work the way he wants.

I understand your point. I would argue it doesn’t work consistently as advertised based on my experience. And that uncertainty is dangerously.

He not complaining about the phantom speed sign recognition. That’s a well known problem in the USA (And not limited to just Ford, but I digress as usual) and elsewhere. What he wants is speed sign recognition that never exceeds his own initial set speed. In other words, speed sign recognition that only slows down a car. That’s not how the system works.

Now, there is a point that needs to be made clear, roads in Germany and Austria are not US Interstates. They are different and speed enforcement is often automated and sometimes a bit brutal, particularly in the lower speed areas. But that’s what the driver is for.

In any event, the Ford account on this forum has forwarded his suggestion to Ford Europe and hopefully he’s used the feedback option in the car as he can deliver his concerns in his native tongue and avoid mistranslation.

Took Waymo in SFO not terribly long ago. It was “interesting.”

I really didn't trust the driverless Waymo in San Francisco. But, while I was sitting in the backseat moving along, I realized I did trust it *more* than I trusted a normal taxi driver in San Francisco.

I probably would trust it more than my own driving in San Francisco given all the crazy drivers and bike riders and such.

They recently (as they always do) released their safety record, and they are much safer. Most of the accidents they have been in, were the other drive’s fault, and even then there weren’t very many, 45 with 96 million miles driven.

Whereas the Tesla cabs have already logged 3 in Texas with 10 to 20 car and only 7,000 miles driven.
