Took a trip to Milwaukee this weekend. Stopped at a Tesla Super Charger at a Woodman's Grocery Store in Madison. Awesome setup with cables long enough to reach the Mach e without taking up two spaces. Pulled up, plugged in with my adapter and charged with no issues, very quickly. Stopped at the same location in the error and the charge bombed with "Sorry, something went wrong connecting to the charging station". I tried a couple of stations and both my A2Z and Ford adapters, no luck. I downloaded the Tesla app, created an account, added a valid payment method and tried again. No luck. I gave up and went to an Electrify America and changed there.
This morning, I drove to a Tesla Super Charger near my home to try it again. Same thing, wouldn't charge, but this time FordPass said something about payment method on the Blue Oval Network. Our credit card had recently been replaced by our bank so I figured that was the issue. I attempted to update the payment method and got an "Oops, something went wrong message" in FordPass. I called support and they had me force close the app and then try to update the payment method. That worked and I was able to successfully charge.
It's frustrating that the Tesla app wouldn't work, with a valid payment method, with the issue in Blue Oval. Apparently the two systems communicate on the back end.
