I currently charge my MME GT via a Pulsar Plus EVSE wired into a NEMA 14-50 plug at 40Amps. The charging cord is only 25 ft. and won't reach from the back of the garage into the driveway to charge my second electric car. In order to eliminate the need to swap cars every time I charge, I am considering buying a 25 ft. J1772 extension cable (sold on Amazon). This would give me a total of 50ft. My concern is the safety. Is it safe to charge this way and has anyone had any experience with an extended cable? (good or bad)

I've used a J1772 extension cable several times without any issues. Just make sure that you get one that's rated for at least 40A. Also be aware that there is no UL certification for this type of cable. Not sure if that matters to you.
