Looking for advice on buying Mach-E in Dade County

Hello Forum:

Newbie here, but wanted to get some advice from the Internet. I have been contemplating trading in my dreamcar, a 2012 Boss 302 Race Red, for preferred 2022+ Mach-E.

- I don't want to be disappointed in the performance of a Mach-e in comparison, but I also feel like this is the time to do this because the jump to an EV is far less than it was at the start.
- I have a bigger incentive to move to an EV now as I just invested in a solar system on my home
- Finally my 302 has great value. If I do the deal right, I hope to make this a win-win for me because I can find a Mach-e for about the same cost as my trade if not cheaper.

Thoughts?

I don't feed trolls, so if you are here for the laughs, I'll laugh with you. I would love an honest, experienced opinion.

Edit: I daily drive my Boss, so a Mach-e would be my new daily.

What @generaltso said. If the Boss is a garage queen that gets used on nice Saturdays then the Mach-e is a different beast. You will likely end up driving your Mach-e every day, so whatever you are doing that in today would be the vehicle I would replace the Mach-e with. These cars love to be used and abused daily.

It kind of turned into it. I love Mustangs and the 302 is my daily driver so I don't want to get in it and wish I just would have kept my Boss.

My impression is someone who's in love with an ICE Boss 302 will not be enthralled with an electric Mustang. It's very quiet, not as flashy, and some of the hardcore Mustang people hate it. Not as universally liked.

You should only do it if you really want to ditch gas, you like quiet, fast, and efficient, and you're willing to try something very different. You probably won't be satisfied with the performance unless you get a 2024 Mach-E GT.

I see you have a GT350… do you like that over the Boss? I just think the 302 is prefect for daily commutes and track use given the features.

The Boss is a better driving car, but the GT350 is more of a boulevard bruiser with the supercharged Coyote.
