So I go from my home in SW IA to Minneapolis about once a month. It requires one stop but I usually make two. It adds 30-40 minutes to the 5 1/2 hour trip. If that, because we would usually stop twice anyway. Both stops are DCFC which has been seamless with the EA PnC, and very easy with the ChargePoint card. The stop nearest my home is truly a bio-break where I just plug in because it’s convenient and the top up I get in 10 minutes relieves my range anxiety. The stop farther from home takes about 30 minutes as it is a shared 125kW point and there is frequently another car charging. This encourages me to walk around, stretch, and check emails.
I’ve noticed far less fatigue on arrival which I think is partially attributed to hands free blue cruise. The car is so easy on an interstate highway because of that feature, ACC, and automatic speed zone settings.
My next trip I have to take our minivan as I’ll be helping DS move. I’ll miss the Stang, the inexpensive fuel, and the easy drive.
