PAAK doesn’t work when FordPass server down?

In general my phone as a key works most of the time, often with slight delays. Today completely unable to get into my car at work. Tried to open the Fordpass app, and it was unable to connect to server despite normal Internet connection. Even updated the app, and still unable to connect. Finally had to use the code to get into my car. Is PAAK dependent on a handshake with Ford network?

I would assume there would be some type of handshake but I don't know for sure.

Easiest way to test would be to shut off your cellular radio on your phone and disconnect from the WiFi network you are on. Don't turn off WiFi all together, just disconnect from the network and see what happens.

Guess it is possible if the app sees there is no internet it could bypass the handshake where typically it would try to connect to the mother ship with an internet connection.

I had to try it....... I got Paak to work yesterday.

It isn't working today. Bluetooth on, Wi-Fi on, Ford app on.... nada.

I'm out. Fob for me, no loss.
