Over the last month or so ive been having an intermittent 'Parking Sensor Malfunction' error message on the dash, went in to Ford who cleaned a connector, seemed to fix it but less than a week later the error returns intermittently. The sensors will then work for a week then die again, rinse and repeat, today they are working and no error message. Its booked in again on Wednesday but i fear they will clean the connections again and the fault will return. The problem I have is the cars warranty is up in May so I am concerned if they don't replace something I am going to be left with a bill when the cars out of warranty, although I would argue the case that they have never fully resolved the problem.
Anyone else had the same or similar ? if so did they replace the sensors?
Error codes as follows
B1B838(08) right front inner sensor
B1B838(96) right inner sensor component failure
