Something has broken one of my parking sensors, a black one on the lower bumper of my 23.75 MY. I took it to the dealer's service centre and after a 2 hour wait they said "yup, that one there is broken". I'd like to claim they should've taken 5 minutes to walk around the car and spot the problem, but *I* didn't spot it either so there you go.
Anyway, my question is, does replacing this really require removing the whole bumper? They want to charge me $700NZD (~$430 USD) to fix this one sensor but it looks like it should be able to be popped out and replaced. Does that sound reasonable? I've installed the front light-up pony from BSKT so I can do a little bit of work on it, but the whole bumper removal seems like something I should leave to some who is less likely to miss a bolt.
