I saw this thing hanging off the bottom of the car near the right rear wheel. It was only being held on by one of the clip/bolt things; one cracked and one was missing. Not sure if there are supposed to be more than three.

Does anyone know a part number or name of these clip/bolts so I can replace it? It doesn’t seem like this thing is very substantial; do I need to replace it at all?

Thanks!

These are covers that sit on the bottom of each rear lower control arm. Did you happen to see if the missing clip and screw are Weill attached to the car?

If you take the screws, slide nuts, and Christmas tree push fasteners (if any were on it) to Advance Auto or Autozone or whatever your local variety is, they sell a box of them for around $3. The guys at the counter should be able to help you find the right parts.

I didn’t. One of them that I have is cracked so I need to buy at least one anyway. The hole on the cover piece doesn’t look torn where there’s one missing. So I didn’t think it could’ve pulled off, leaving the bolt in place.

Good thought. Wasn’t sure if they were a Ford only item or if a local shop would have them.

You could also go ask a few local Autobody shops.

I’ll poke around the Ford parts sure this week.

Updating my post in case anyone else needs it. This wasn't super-easy to find for some reason, even the parts dept at my local Ford dealer struggled with this one.

The plastic piece I was looking for seems to have a few names - Castle Nut And Washer, Fender Liner Nut, or Front Deflector U-Nut. It is part number - W720874.

The other piece is called an Air Deflector or Stone Deflector. It was tough to find because it was labeled as being the "Front Air Deflector" in some diagrams even though it's at the rear of the car. Also complicating things is that the number embossed on the part itself ends in 11778A. In the parts diagram the part I needed is labeled as 11778B. 11778A is a different piece. We ordered the one labeled 11778B and it's the correct part, and is labeled on the bag and part itself as 11778A. Makes no sense. This piece includes three of the U-Nuts, so I just bought this for $24. Part number - 9911778
