Passenger seat back reclines randomly, automatically. Why?

The passenger seatback reclines at random times when no one is in the car. We will get in the car and my wife says the seat has reclined again. Help!!

Does anyone know if the profiles change the position of the passenger seat? Maybe switch between profiles (buttons on the driver door) to test it out?

Hmm…I don't recall the driver’s memory function working on the passenger seat in any other Ford I’ve owned. I have had this happen in two vehicles over the years, one it turned out I was touching the control as I slid out, the other had misaligned trim pushing the button under certain conditions.

Same thing happens on my '21 F-150. Have not been able to figure out how and why it happens.

Do you have rodents around? Could be intermittent electrical issues from wire-gnawing.
