all good. I HAVE considered getting the whole hood and patterning out the stripes with cardboard and using a razor to slice the hood wrap pre-install, but again I just don’t know if I have the skill for that and didn’t want to f it up so had decided ultimately against worrying about it.

That is also very interesting! Professionally applied? How’d they do around the fine details like the front horse?

I had it done at SCA detailing in Salem

They applied the coating to all exterior surfaces including wheels.

It has already saved me hundreds of dollars in potential paint repair due to abrasions I received in a parking lot, and I don't have to use heavy bug/tar removing solvents. Stuff just wipes off with a wet microfiber towel.

I wouldn't expect it to stop a stone chip or something like that, but you can re-apply it to a repaired area of paint and it would look like new.

Current thinking is to place PPF over the hood stripes, even if that makes them look a bit glossy.

Removing them and trying to find exact replacements to place over the PPF is a bit more of a complication and cost right now.

I was thinking I might try a sample piece to see what it makes the stripes look like, and see if the edge where it steps down from the stripe to the hood is tolerable

They sent me a video of a similar application to show what it looks like.

PPF is being done this week, so will update with pictures.

Had PPF applied over full front clip and front doors.. Film was applied over the hood stripes…. no issues…
