looking for a recommendation for a Level 1 charger.
I have an old Chevy Volt Level 1 charger that I would sell to you for much less than $200. This is a charger that will do both level 1 (roughly 1.1 kW rate), or level 2 (roughly 2.8 kW rate) if you connect it to a 240 volt circuit using an adapter.

If you are at all interested, I can send you the specifics when I get home tonight. I would also test it on my MME before sending it to you so you know it doesn't throw a charge fault.

If you want dirt cheap I recommend
https://industrial-reviews.com/shockflo-ev-charger/

I've used this for over 10 months now with no issue at 120v, and last month finally went 240v.
I get the expected 1kw from it for 120v, but it pumps out 3kw @ 240v so it's a really good deal in my opinion.

No longer find it on Amazon anymore, so maybe I'm in for a surprise in the future lol.
It's on eBay if you trust the seller and it's actually new.

I like that the red LED stays on solid to indicate 240v charging. Because red is such a calming color.

I've been using the portable ford charger (EVSE) at L1 since I got the car in April 2021. It normally draws 11 amps on my 20 amp duplex house outlet in my garage. Soon after using (June 2021), the house outlet got warmer than I was comfortable with so I changed the plug to a commercial grade 20 amp duplex. It's been happy every since. The EVSE shows me an amber light about twice a year. When it does, I just unplug it, wait a few seconds and plug it back in to find it back to normal (blue LED). Many folks disparge the Ford Portable EVSE but us frugal folks find it works just fine, and continues to serve after more than four years of use. I rarely use DCFC.

If you already have a Tesla Destination (Tesla AC to J1772) adapter, the Tesla Mobile Connector is hard to beat. They're currently $300 including 5-15 and 14-50 pigtails. I got one and added a 10-30P pigtail to use on a 10-30 outlet and have also used it a number of times on a regular 5-15 outlet. 🤔🐩
