Small screen restarted several times

It happened today while driving and using Waze (via Android Auto) navigation. After about 20 minutes of driving, the small screen turned black, then showed the battery percentage bar, the way it does when the car gets started, proceeded but didn't come to the point to show the speed and the rest of the information, only icons on the bottom of the screen were visible, then turned black and repeated the sequence a few more times. The center screen was working normally, showed the map and next turn information, and music was playing. After 3 or 4 times the screen finally showed what it suppose to and worked normally for the rest of the drive - about an hour or so.

Has anyone experienced that too?

I thought so too, especially due to Waze (or AA? or both?) was recently updated with a new layout.

I will be taking the same route next week and will make sure to use Waze again.

Same place, same result! I like consistency

I will be there (exit to DTW from I-94) a couple more times later this week, will not use Waze to see if it makes the difference.

Very interested if this happens without Waze. Happened to me yesterday while using Google maps with alerts. So strange because I had no idea how fast I was going.

No, it doesn't. I was several time on the same route and without waze everything worked without a hiccup. I used ford navigation one and it was fine. I haven't tried Google map yet, will try it next time.

The place where it happens is next to the airport, and actually it was happening when I was approaching it from another direction as well so I wonder if it's some interference from airport equipment.
