Software update screen will not Load

Anyone ever had this? I wanted to turn off automatic updates but the screen will not load up. Everything other than this works fine.

Did you try rebooting the touchscreen?

Make sure you're not in an area with poor reception. Also, on the weekend, Ford often takes their servers offline for maintenance.

I tried rebooting the touchscreen. No change.
It seems to be an issue that tends to resolve itself over time.

This happen when Connected Services are not running. You can try turning off the car and on again, in the worst case, a factory reset of the SYNC solve it.

The FordPass app is continuing to update so something is connected. I’ll give it a week and see if it resolves itself. If not, I may try disconnecting the 12 volt battery for a few minutes and see if that helps. Like most technology, if it acts up, reboot.

Update - working again. The only thing I did was restart my iPhone. No idea if that did anything but I guess wireless CarPlay could cause an issue since it automatically connects over WiFi. Anyway, it’s working as it should. I disabled automatic updates.
