Sound, Audio Settings Grayed Out

I would like to adjust the sound and audio settings on the touchscreen menu. I access the 'vehicle drawer', and both these settings submenus are grayed out. Always. I have tried disconnecting all phones from Carplay, still grayed out. I find nothing in the Owner's Manual that indicates these settings can or should be unavailable. My car was built at the end of August or beginning of September last year.

I see one or two people have had this problem occur, but it went away by itself. It is persisting for me.

Any info would be appreciated.

This may be a stupid question, but is the audio turned on? Those options won't appear unless it is I believe.

Yep, you have to have an audio source turned on, like the radio for them to not be greyed out.

Not stupid, partially correct, in fact! I turned audio on, and the Sound menu became available. Seems like an odd design, but ok. Thanks for the suggestion!


Audio menu is still grayed out, and disappears when I switch to the car radio. I guess that's just what it does?

Mine was messed up today after FP 4.16. I had to go into my menus and play with different settings until I got my surround system back. Prior it was basically mono. Hopefully this is fixed.
