Similar to other threads I have been hit with the mysterious popping from my speakers. In my case it was the passenger rear speaker. Thankfully I have it on video (will post if I can shrink the size).

For me to clear it I changed from FM radio to Spotify (Android Auto) and back to FM. Very strange!

Seems I'm not alone:

@G8rb8t did you figure out what is causing that. Mine started doing it a couple of days ago.

Known bug, service manager looked it up while i was waiting. Old software in the APIM module caused this. Dealer fixed it for me.
It’s a very big update, my car had to stay overnight.

Took it to the dealer and unable to recreate. They put a new 12v battery in and also ran a ton of updates. So far it has not happened again but I will report back if it does...

My CarPlay went silent (no popping, just no sound). Turning off the car and opening the door. did nothing. Switching source to SXM and back to Wireless CP fixed it. Oddball audio glitch. ?‍♂?

I have had the popping happen twice now. I am leaning towards it is a symptom of low 12V, going to buy a 12V meter I think to see if there is a correlation. Resetting SYNC did not change the behavior, but I did not try switching sources.

I just experienced this issue for the first time this morning. I got into my preheated and departure ready car in my garage and experienced exactly what is shown in the video up above. It seemed to resolve Itself after about 20 to 25 minutes. Certainly concerning, especially if its an early sign of my 12V failing.
