i was sitting in my MME, starting an attempt to fix PAAK. i started the car with my foot on the brake of course, and a couple seconds later the car spontaneously shifted to reverse. the backup camera came on and the beeper started. i then just shifted to park.
that's a new one and pretty dangerous. i use 1PD and i think the car would not move backwards without throttle input, but not sure if that's how R works or if it is because of 1PD.
as for PAAK, both my wife's and my iPhone stopped working as keys a couple of weeks ago. i noticed that in my bluetooth settings the <VIN> MACHE device was always disconnected. i tried pulling fuse 19 to see if that would fix the BLE connection but no dice. so i asked the car to delete all keys, then i deleted the BT device from my phone and rebooted the phone. after that the app offered me the PAAK setup from the home screen and i went thru it, but it failed after pairing. i rebooted the phone again and to my surprise FP had my phone in the list of phones 3 times over. so i reset from the car again and went thru the process again, and this time it worked properly. subsequently i added my wife's phone with no problems.
does the fact that the car wants a unique backup start code per phone mean that it uses the different codes to select a driver profile?
