I was just about to ask that.....
Yes, I broke down and took my Route 1's aeros off, and you do need to take the lug nuts off to do it. The wheels look good and I like the presentation better than the cheap black plastic tonka-wheel look. However, I have had to order small covers for the hub from amazon because I couldn't find them elsewhere. You can't use normal flat ones because the spindle actually sticks out half an inch. The covers have only been off for a few weeks waiting for the caps to come literally on a slow boat from china, and I'm not liking how quickly everything is starting to rust.I think both wheels look fine without the aero covers.
Did the lig nuts or center cap or both need to be removed in order to take off the aero covers?
The outer 'fins' just unclip from the back through the open aera of the wheel.
I need to see a GT standard wheel with the aero covers removed!
Hi,
I am looking into the MME Select with confort/appearance package.
it comes with 19" wheels with aero covers.
Personally, I find these aero covers ugly.
Is it possible to take them off? is there anyone that has a picture of it without covers?
Thanks to all!
This is what they actually look like on a car that has some road grime, and no tire dressing….like plastic hubcaps.
