Condolences on your Sam. ??I’m sorry for your loss. Loss my Sam last August. Good look with Howie.?
Steve, I raised two English Springers and they loved the water. Did not care about the temp. Only thing I could not teach them was to ride/stay in the Corvette! I did teach one to circle the block, find the mailman, sit in front of him, the mailman would gave him the mail and she would bring it home. Sometimes a little soggy.I don’t currently have one. Cancer killed him a month and a half ago. He (and the ones before him) was black. Headed up to Washington state in a couple of weeks to see his breeder. She *might* let me adopt her biggest winning Grand Champion. ??
Rowdy on the day I picked up my GT-PE:

Ch. Howie. He was probably my breeder’s most famous dog:

Howie at 8 weeks. Went on to win his first dog show on his 6 month birthday and finished his AKC Championship on his 9 month birthday:

Good luck with Grady?Condolences on your Sam. ??
Oh, Howie passed away in 2009. I showed him with a pro handler and hunted with him. He did some agility too, but he was too busy filling the barbecue to compete regularly. He got invited to go to the big West, inster show in NY and his handler wanted to take him to Crufts in England. I used to call him Mr. Perfect. ??
Rowdy was a horrible show dog and only a mediocre hunting dog. He cuddled better than Howie though. I used to call him Mr. Not-So-Perfect. ??
The dog that I might be able to adopt from their breeder is named Grady. Maybe I can make Poodle Lights that look like him. ??
