Touch-up Paint for Minor Dings

I've got a few small stone dings on the hood of my '24 Mach-e GT. The color is Star White. Anyone know of a good touch up pain that is easy to apply? I've used Chipex on another car but the company is no longer shipping to the US due to tariffs. Thanks.

Even among tubes of Ford touch-up paint there are color variations! But I've generally had good luck with OEM touch-up paints.

In my experience, OEM metallic paint has too many flakes that make the touch up spot stands out. I think you’d be better off with a reputable non-OEM brand.

- Lots of colors and product options
- color and clear-coat mixtures
- straight forward use with included implements

In the end, it's nearly impossible to apply a touch-up without it being obvious that you have, but at a distance can be visually acceptable.

I used to buy several paint kits from ford online dealerships and the colors do not match because the metallic coating has to be applied after the paint. The coating layer does not stay and dissolve the original paint. I had a better luck getting touch up paints with metallic in the paint not the top coat from eBay.

I used touchupdirect for my grabber blue metallic during the shortage, and it was lighter and didn’t have enough metallic flakes.
You can thin out the OEM if you want to by spreading the paint on a cardboard and the dipping your applicator into the part that has the right about of flakes.

Use your Ford points, if you have any, to order it from Ford. I bought a tube for $8, using few points, and it matched my car perfectly.

For touchups I've noted that what you see a few inches away is not what you see 5-10 feet away. Those two fixes likely will not be the same. Most of us want it fixes to be unnoticeable at several feet away. Pros can make it invisible at both distances.
