Trunk handle plastic separating

The plastic on the trunk handle of my '21 California Route 1 is starting to separate.

Has anyone else had this problem before? How did you fix it?

You can see the separation at the left of the handle in the photo below.

I've not grabbed or looked at mine. But I will.

I'm assuming it is snap/screw together assembly?

Good afternoon. Would you please send over a private message with your VIN and dealer info so I can look into this plastic concern on my end?

I myself have this same issue where I even took the bottom half off of the handle because every time I grab to pull down the rear hatch it makes a not-secure cracking sound. I also hear a loose nut rattling around when I close the hatch on the right end, then when I was washing my Mach-e I noticed the right taillight was a little loose which tells me that the securing nut was not properly tightened secure during assembly at the factory.

Update: I brought it into the dealer and they are replacing it under warranty. Just have to wait for a part to come in.

Glad for you, yeah that didn’t seem normal. How I know? Well, I just checked, and oh my goodness, I have a handle!
