Unsolicited check

Hello MME owners. Has anyone else received an unsolicited check from Ford for $100? No letter accompanied it. On the stub it says “The following programs are included in this payment: 2021 Drive Assist Special Pack,” my dealer name and my vin number. Neither the dealer nor Ford can tell me what it’s for. The skeptic in me thinks I may be waiving some rights if I cash it, especially since some of my Drive Assist features aren’t working, and the dealer tried to get me to sign something saying the car has no warranty. Any thoughts?

No scam, no rights waived. It's because you're buying the car before the CoPilot 360 2.0 is ready. Surprised your dealer couldn't tell you that since they had to fill out the paperwork for you to get the check

Now, as to the dealer trying to get you to sign something that has no warranty--that is unrelated. I suspect it's some scare tactic to get you to buy an extended warranty

That is how I got my $100. As others have noted, this means your dealer has done his/her job and filed the paperwork for you with Ford. If you like your dealer, you might want to thank them for doing so.
