I found a guy that would come to me and do it in our car port rather than dropping of somewhere and leaving it for a few days.
I am very happy with the shine.
Pros : He came to me
The shine is very nice, much better than stock or what I could have achieved
He covered the whole front end, head lights fenders and mirrors. Also did ALL the black.
Yes, all of it. rockers, wheel wells, rear bumper including the parts under the rear, even the black between the paint and glass roof, even the parts above the rear glass.
Cons: It was done in a carport, outside. I haven't found instances of trash under the film yet
but some of the final fit and finish may have suffered.
There are some bubbles that need some sun to heal and a few rough edges that I
need to keep an eye on to make sure they stick down. It's guaranteed and I can
make him come back if I really have an issue.
I've never had this on a car before so my expectations may be off. I'm 90% satisfied at this time and time will tell if that improves. A couple of spots where the bumper plugs are in front, probably nothing can be done about that. A few spots on the wheel well openings as well. I'll give the sun some time and see if they get any better.
The ceramic coating he used was Ceramic Pro and it was only $300. About what it would have cost me to DIY so I figured why not. Should get a year out of it, I think.
I'm not gonna list his name just yet. I want to see how it goes in the near future and see if some of the worry spots get any better, or, if I have to call him back out how he responds to that.
