Yeah, it’s a puzzler. The schematic has both labeled as pedestrian speakers, so you would think both speakers would play the sounds simultaneously or the front would be for the forward sound and the back would be for the reverse sound. Maybe the rear speaker is only used in some markets.

I am in Canada. My rear speaker makes a sound when I am in reverse to warn pedestrians.
I thought it was the same for US market....

How do you know it's coming from the rear speaker? The car makes the beeping noise when in reverse, but it's coming from the front speaker.

Guys, the speakers are there so if Elon decides to add 'exterior ambient sound', Ford can add this too through an over the air update....

I wanna know what's up with the current obsession with backfiring. If this incredibly obnoxious trend has not found your area yet, count yourself lucky.

A *lot* of cars in the area backfire. It's not just the imports. Includes models from the Detroit Three (Ford, GM, MoPar). These cars all have EFI, so I assume their programming is such thaat the backfiring is by design. Yeah, my Blazer backfires under high vacuum (off-throttle decel) but I probably need to get into its carb and mess with jets. My Pontiacs just burble loudly under high vacuum.
