yes, i think that's always been there, though all the instructions i've read say that the key sequence won't work unless you have the Radio application running in the foreground.

Yes this has always been a thing.

Ford recommends bringing the Radio app to the front first for at least two reasons. If you have a menu (such as the Vehicle top left menu) open while you do this key sequence, Bezel Diagnostics will launch but it will probably be behind the menu so you wouldn't necessarily notice. And the other reason is that the BD app tends to crash if various apps are in front during launch, but with Radio up it launches reliably.

They also recommend disconnecting from Bluetooth and CarPlay and AA first but I'm not sure why. I don't do that.
