What's the difference between the auto a/c settings?

There's lo, med, hi settings for the auto a/c, but if it's automatically adjusting the fan speed to your temperature setting, why are there different levels for it?

My testing and interpretation based on that is how aggressively it tries to maintain the temperature. I've been leaving it in the middle, seems to be good enough even with Vegas heat. I'm sure the manual has information on it.

Page 142 starts the climate control section. I hadn't looked and this got me curious. It's just a way to control the (max) fan speed while it's in auto mode. I've had cars in the past that didn't have this, and would blast cold or hot air as needed until the cabin temps were met.

Thanks for that. Yeah, not very intuitive that "auto" mode has different settings. But I guess your initial point about how "aggressive" it tries to reach the targeted temp is accurate too.

Yeah I crossed my sentence out because it should be 'reaches target temp' as you said, not maintain.
