Yes it sounds like an electric bucket of bolts rolling down the road due to the need for new strut mounts. And yes it's been beaten by everything one could imagine. But it's got just under 100K on it, a 100+ mile ER battery (thanks to the first one leaking internally) and it's the best grocery/gym car I could think of that costs nothing. She's high jacked my FFE's (I've had 2) for most of those miles. But she's feeling it's a little dated and thinks a newer car would be nice. The FFE was supposed to be traded in on the MME, but, here we are after the dealer trade offer went from $9k to $900.

So I was thinking.
She wants something small'ish like the Focus
Doesn't care if it's electric, but I do
Needs 4 doors and 100+ mile range.
Sometimes uses it to haul 10+ bags of manure and 'tree's, because...

My thought, a PHEV and try to find something under $15k~ with a Fed rebate. But I don't know if we actually have anything like that in the US.
