I have a 2023 Mach e GTPE - I am on vacation and my car is parked at the Sacramento airport. I got this notice earlier this morning:

Electrical System Drain Service Required

“There is an electrical drain in wade's Mustang Mach-E GTPE, possibly caused by after-market device(s). If that's not the case, please schedule service soon.”

I can see the location of car on the Ford App and the state of charge. The only 3rd party device is a dual charge phone pad which is plugged in with no phones on it. So will my car likely start and is this referri to my 12 volt battery? We fly back tonight.

Thanks for any help.

Wade

That means the 12V battery is being automatically recharged, it should be fine as long as you will return in the next week or two. If not, then you may need to call for a jump start since it will eventually stop trying to keep the 12V recharged.

Are you sure you don't have any dashcams, OBD port, or tracking devices installed? Otherwise see my topic on how to solve drain issues: Thread 'Troubleshooting "Electrical System Drain Service Required" Message'

In this case is remote starting the car, letting it run for 30min and then shutting off, helpful? Would that prompt the 12v to charge more? I know my first year leaving the MME parked for 8 days in the middle of winter I remote started the car once mid-week from the Caribbean.

No, remote start would be pointless. It already wakes up and charges the battery for about 90 minutes if it gets low.

Thank you for this. No other third party items except Lojack. We are flying back later today so hopefully all will be well.

It's probably the LoJack draining it then.
